Also ingestion of polyphenols (natures antioxidants) that are present in things like olive oil, have shown significant down-regulation(inhibition) of disease producing genes that influence: heart disease, insulin resistance, inflammation, and carcinogenesis(normal cells that transform into cancer cells).
